Hinkley Point C’s Marine Works — Liners and Super Duplex Cap Support Units

Roger Frost, Project Director at Balfour Beatty plc for the 'Hinkley Point C’s Marine Works', recently visited our facilities at Nigg and Invergordon to give a highly informative presentation to our Fabrication teams. EDF's Ian Beaumont and Simon Spolton were also present.

The presentation emphasised how the liners and super duplex cap support units — which are being manufactured by the group’s fabrication division — are an integral part of one of the most complex marine engineering projects currently underway in the world.

The contract with Balfour Beatty is to support the construction of the UK's first new nuclear power station in over 20 years.
